The Castle Inn, Knucklas

A little pocket of the Olde Worlde still survives here at the Castle Inn where a warm welcome awaits you and our friendly staff will always endeavour to make your visit as enjoyable as possible.

Welcome to The Castle Inn

You can enjoy the peace and quite, the fresh air, quality home cooked food, all locally sourced wherever possible plus we have a good selection of drinks which include local cask ales plus beers and wines from around the world.

We have visitors far and wide from the friendly local community to walkers, cyclists, across the UK and from overseas, it is genuinely a nice part of the world to visit. Not forgetting our guest rooms are seperate from the main pub area ensuring a good nights sleep.

Look forward to meeting you all soon.

Things to do

Nestled in the beautiful Teme Valley the Castle Inn lies on the border of Powys in Wales and Shropshire in England. A stunning stone viaduct lies at the heart of the village and we are only a short distance from Offa’s Dyke and Glyndwr’s Way.

For more information about Knucklas village please visit knucklas.org.uk

This is a fantastic area for walking (Offa’s Dyke Path), sightseeing, country sports and outdoor activities, such as: cycling and rally driving at the Phil Price Rally School. There are a number of local attractions and events that take place throughout the year. Knucklas is situated on the Heart of Wales railway line, which is very picturesque, and links Knucklas to the south coast of Wales as well as to Shrewsbury in Shropshire. Many guests stay with us whilst visiting attractions of the area or whilst attending The Royal Welsh Show.

Knucklas and the surrounding area is full of hiden gems: places to go and things to see without the hustle and bustle of queues and crowds. Why not visit the traditional market towns of Knighton, Presteigne and Ludlow or visitor attractions such as the Phil Price Rally School, Elan Valley, the Spaceguard Centre or Stokesay Castle.
